What are the outputs from a product discovery workshop
Once the project discovery phase has been completed we will have all the required information to start the planning phase.
This will be a logical representation of your planned digital architecture as well as functional specifications. These plans and reviews will act as the foundations for your project and will be the project management guidelines on which the entire project is carried forward. Â
The project discovery deliverables will typically include:
Digital architecture map
We'll define the right digital architecture to fit your business goals. By analysing the digital landscape, anticipating your future needs and mapping out how your solution will connect to your business infrastructure, the architecture map is a key stage in your development life cycle.
Functional specification
The creation of a detailed functional specification, or 'functional spec' as it's more commonly called, will be the source of truth that aligns your business and the development team on your project. This document is referenced throughout the development process by devs, QAs, and internal stakeholders.
Project management road map
A project management roadmap will be plotted and will not only include a high level overview of the project timelines, but all major deliverables and milestones throughout the project. Internally we'll use the roadmap to assign resource and keep you informed of the status of your project.
Development roadmap
A development roadmap will also be outlined. This differs to the project management roadmap in that it will include all of the development 'sprints' which will need to be achieved for a successful launch. A development roadmap will often stretch into future versions and releases of the product too.
